Bluesman Paul Oscher dies.

RIP Paul A. “Bluesman” Oscher 2/26/1947 – 4/18/2021 . Former Member of the great Muddy Waters Band (1967 – 1971). Paul received 2 Handy BMA Awards, 1 Grammy Nomination, and a Lifetime Achievement Award, Clarksdale Mississippi. Original Songwriter, Storyteller, and Bluesman. 59 Original compositions, countless stories, and Board Member Muddy Waters Mojo Museum “This former member of the great Muddy Waters Blues Band not only channels the guitar sound of Muddy Waters, piano of Otis Spann, he’s got the deepest toned blues harp this side of Big Walter Horton and is a fine songwriter in the classic blues tradition. Paul Oscher is one of a kind.” – Scott Dirks, author of Little Walter’s biography, “Blues With A Feeling” Paul’s last recording was in 2018 with the release of “Cool Cat”.

Rockstar Magazine spoke with Paul in 2018 at CBoys on South Congress in 2018. Paul held a residency there for about 2 years on Tuesdays.
